I started this business when my children were small as a way to supplement my teacher’s salary, never imagining it would grow into what it is today. What began as a small following for custom-painted furniture soon became something much bigger. With the help of a friend in real estate, we discovered our current Gulfport location, and after the owner transformed it into a warehouse, I officially received my business license and opened our doors on April 14, 2016.
As we approach ten years, I’m proud to serve not only as the owner, but also as a vendor with two booths of my own. My family—my husband and children—have been hands-on from day one, helping paint, run the register, lift and load furniture, and even handle deliveries. And my vendors have become more than partners; they’ve become trusted friends and extended family.
I travel to New Orleans, Savannah, Pensacola, and across the Gulf Coast to source unique antique treasures, which I refinish and stage with care. My booths, lovingly known as The Gilded Mermaid, reflect my passion for craftsmanship, design, and one-of-a-kind finds.
